What’s involved with getting porcelain veneers?

Dr Amin will shave off a small amount of enamel from the front of your natural teeth to ensure your veneers don’t add too much extra bulk to your mouth. He will also roughen the surface to aid the bonding process.

Dr Amin will take an impression of your teeth and send it away to a specialist laboratory. In the meantime, you will wear temporary veneers. Once your veneers are ready, you will have a follow-up appointment for your fitting.

How should I take care of my veneers?

Good oral hygiene can extend the life of your veneers. If you grind your teeth at night, ask Dr Amin about a night-time mouthguard to help protect your veneers.

Avoid chewing on pens, fingernails or other objects since this can damage the veneers.

How long will my veneers last?
