What does at-home whitening involve?

Our at-home treatments both come with a custom-fit whitening tray based on an impression of your teeth and gums. Once you’ve chosen which formula to use, you will take the tray home with a supply of whitening gel and use it as recommended by Dr Amin. Some of our whitening products are designed for use for an hour or two during the day, while others can be safely applied and left overnight.

What about having my teeth whitened by Dr Amin?

If you opt for an in-chair whitening treatment, Dr Amin will apply a much more powerful formula that only licensed and qualified practitioners use. In-chair whitening can achieve incredible results in only one 30-minute appointment.

How do I maintain my results?

Results can last anywhere between 6 months to 2 years before you might need another whitening treatment. You can extend the longevity of the treatments by brushing and flossing your teeth at least twice daily. You can also keep your teeth whiter for longer by avoiding tea, coffee, red wine and tobacco products.

What are the side effects of teeth whitening?

You may experience mild sensitivity after a whitening treatment. This is entirely normal and shouldn’t last more than 24 hours. Many whitening products contain desensitising agents to help reduce sensitivity.

What if I have crowns or veneers?

Teeth whitening solutions only works on natural tooth enamel, so the colour of the crowns or veneers won’t change. If your teeth change colour significantly, you may need to replace your restorations to match the new shade. Dr Amin can provide you with flawless whitening, while safely protecting the soft tissues in your mouth.
